Lending a Key?

You lend a key to someone for your house. Doesnt work out later and you request it back. (Some of you know where this is going already). That person simply says, 'I dont have your key'. Are you screwed?

Buy another lock or have yours re-keyed. A relatively inexpensive lesson.

Even if you got your key back!
If there is a problem with
the person who had it,
You should change the locks.
The person could of made copies.
$15-25 bucks for a basic lock set.....
securing your home.....priceless

Change your locks. Asides from the obvious burglary risk, there could be insurance issues.

if warrented, you could go to small claims to recover the rekeying costs. or, chalk it up to the expense of trusting someone you shouldn't have. depends on how much it runs you.
