Getting rid of Bermuda Grass

Has anyone here had any success in killing off bermuda grass? I've got a large patch growing in the back yard that I'd like to get rid of before it takes over the whole place. I did a little Googling and came up with using Round-up which takes 3 or 4 applications and kills everything (including the good grass) and something called Oramec which is supposed to target only bermuda grass and leave other "good" grasses alone (but it doesn't say how long it will take).

Yeah, Round up. They have a stonger version available to professionals and they can knock it out in one application. We did this one fall and then in spring sodded the lawn. You will have some down time as it will be a while before grass, or anything will grow there so it is best to do it when your lawn is going to be brown or not that green anyway.
