I could have sworn that I heard this a few years back but is there a type of tattoo that will last only a few years... I believe it has something with not putting the ink as deep in the skin which made it long lasting but not permanent. Does anyone know anything about this or what it would be called?

My memory is vague as well, but I seem to recall hearing that a white ink tattoo would fade in a few years.

Hmmm... This might answer your question...no such thing

And from scouring the web a bit I see that the fading can take as long as 10 years or more, may fade in patches & may scar. Ick!
