I've heard that you can cough in your sleep but not sneeze, since coughing is an automatic thingy to clear your airways but sneezing is more a "concious" reaction to an irritation. It kind of makes sense since you can will yourself to not sneeze. Okay, so I can supress a cough most of the times too, but not when I've inhaled food!

LOL i think if you could sneeze in your sleep it would be rather confusing.
VV zZzzzZz....Zzz*aaPlLLphHPaarmphm* *sn0rt* HuH?! wtf what that?! I mean it would almost definitely wake you up, so if you could you would probably know it.

I can will myself not to cough much easier than I can will myself not to sneeze. If I need to sneeze I can't do anything about it but if I'm going to cough I can clear my throat to stop it.
