Heater problems
I live in an apt and I have a very small room. The problem is there is a HUGE heater in the room connected to the thermostat for a larger public room. I wake up every morning (during the winter, when the heat is on) with dried out sinuses and sore throat. This morning I actually woke up with a bloody nose.
I know I need to talk to my landlord. The problem is that we have a fairly nice you-don't-bother-me-I-don't-bother-you type interaction. Any brilliant suggestions for alleviating this? I've heard a humidifier might work, and I already have fairly good circulation. |
If you're in a dry climate get some plants. That would help as long as you water them. A couple of bowls of water near the heater at night might also help. You might try cracking a window at night as well.

Use a humidifier. If you don't want to do that, put bowls of hot water on top of the radiator so the water evaporates into the air when the heat is on. If all else fails, use a hammer on the thermostat.
