Hooking a PA system to my computer... for surround sound

Alrite, i have a PA system, and it's hooked up into my computer, but the problem is I have a Creative Live 5.1 surround sound kind'a dealy, and i can't seem to get front and back sound going, is this because my PA system isn't set up to do surround sound, or am i just missing something completely?

Does the PA system have more than two output channels? Most PAs that I've seen typically only have a stereo out. To get surround from your Soundblaster, you'll need six channels, each driving a speaker or sub.

You're probably better off buying an inexpensive surround setup than trying to cobble something together from equipment that wasn't designed with surround in mind.

Check your soundblasters properties and have it only output in stereo rather then 5.1 and see how that works. Should be under control panel, under something that has to do with sound.

What kind of PA system? How many channels? Does it have mains, monitor and tape outputs on it?
