Help with palster wall
I was putting up hooks on a plaster wall for hanging coats. I used anchor screws and pre drilled with the right size bit. 9 of the 10 holes (2 per hook) worked with no problem the last one when I put the anchor in the hole opened wider then the anchor. It is not overly large but to big to set the screw. Dose any one know how I can fill the hole in a way to set the screw there. It is part of 5 hooks all evenly spaced so I can not move it.

Bigger anchor?
You're going to have problems with it unless you were able to get some sort of backing behind it. Now that the hole has opened up, filling it with anything less than plaster of paris or a similar hard mud will probably just break apart. |
I suggest a toggle bolt, or open the hole wide enough to get a small backer board inside and attach it by using sheetrock screws on either side. This is of course assuming that this is a hollow wall.

Thanks, I did go with the toggle bolt. I did not want to open it any wider but it looks lit it is holding fine.
