Crafts, Mods and all that good stuff...
Ok, I need some ideas for making booksafes. I've been successful at gluing the outside of the pages together and that keeps it pretty stiff but using a scroll saw just doesnt cut it for taking out the mid section.
I also need some Ideas on making discoballs from used CDs. What kind of glue? How do you cut/break the CDs? Whats the best liner for a window hole I just cut on my puter case? I've read the plastic from wiring is good, and also car door liner. Let's get a good long thread on weird craft ideas going. Duct tape wallets for every boy and girl!!! |

What's the problem with using the scrollsaw for cutting out the midsection of the book? What kind of blade are you using? I'd use a very fine blade, with as many teeth per inch (TPI) as you could find. I'd also consider using a reverse tooth blade so that you can cleanly cut the underside...

Use SuperJet adhesive for any poly based plastic. It comes in three stages of setting
Fast Medium Slow It works great, and keeps fresh with a very good cap design. Besure to wipe off excess with a cloth before resealing it and it should last a couple of months. Find it in better hobby stores, usually ones that cater to the upscale plastic model kits. |
