Origin of a phrase

I have seen the phrase "your head asplode" and variants in a number of places on the web. It must be some kind of cultural reference but even with the help of Google I am at a loss to trace its origin.

Anyone know?

Seems to me that it originated on Fark, but can't find a definite answer.

Sounds about right to me.

Journeyman, I'm sure that's what it means, but I am trying to remember the context where I have seen that particular mangling of the phrase before (and drawing a blank.)

Journeyman, I can see how my question was ambiguous. I am indeed clear on "asplode" meaning "explode", but I am curious as to where the phrase in its modified form originated.

It comes from a Strongbad e-mail.

Damn I love Strongbad! I think I've heard "asplode" or "aspolsions" before the date of the e-mail, but I can't be sure of the source. It's definitely something Fark has adopted. I seem to remember hearing it in connection with movies. Such as, "T3 was cool, but it didn't have enough asplosions!"

Asplosion or Asplode is usually used in reference to the base male desire to see things blow up.
