Making something BE RF
Hi. I have surround sound speakers for my home. Only problem is i have speaker wire comming out my ears! Is there any way i could make something be RF.
i figure the wire carries information. so why can't it be broadcast over a channel of X Hz, then the 2nd speaker could be X+1 Hz...actually i have no idea. any help is nice |
The wireless setup you want would require placing a separate single-channel amplifier in addition to an RF receiver near each speaker. The wire not only carries a signal, it provides the current from the amplifier necessary to move the speaker cones.

i'd need a seperate amp and batteries for each speaker...hmmmm

Why not run the speaker wires through the walls? The sound quality will be FAR better than RF, and you'll have a much cleaner look. They also make molding which can be used to disguise wires; check around at your local hardware store.

You could also run the wires under the carpet.

Up throught the attic and down to the speakers. Really cleans it up.
