Neat and useful method of folding shirts

Watch this Video. I watched it but can't keep up. I guess I have to practice.

Peetster 05-04-2004 06:18 AM

It appears that they are just doing a reverse fold.

Asians doing laundry.

kwoodmex 05-04-2004 06:46 AM

that's freakin sweet, lol

i like the stamps of approval after each shirt is done: "Perfect" "OK"

nash 05-05-2004 02:05 PM

I saw that video a while ago and I must say that it really does save time. You don't have to make sure the shirt is "smooth" or anything. You just pick it up at the right points and you're done!

Charlatan 05-05-2004 03:03 PM

Saw this yesterday and am trying to learn how to do it... really cool. I'm a fan of folding laundry...

Polyphobic 05-05-2004 03:12 PM

It looks interesting. I'm just very lazy and hang most of my clothes.

Bobaphat 05-05-2004 03:19 PM

cool technique I am totally going to try that

Blackthorn 05-08-2004 03:50 AM

Looks pretty useful especially if you're storing on shelves (like in store). My button downs go on hangers.

Mondak 05-10-2004 04:19 PM

That is sweet

tehhappyboy 05-12-2004 10:53 PM

SuperSweet.

WarWagon 05-12-2004 10:56 PM

I still have no idea of how to fold my damn clothes. I either hang them, or if I go on trips, I roll them up and stuff them into the suitcase.

Ripsaw 05-13-2004 07:09 AM

+1.

Going home to reorganize my dresser.

gar1976 05-20-2004 07:10 AM

My laundry folding method:

Step one, sort into organized piles.

Step two, run said piles through washing machine and dryer.

Step three, leave on couch long enough wife folds them for me.

Deominous 05-22-2004 07:04 AM

Fer sure I'm gonna get some action after I teach my wife how to do that.

Tempboy 05-22-2004 11:40 PM

Hey sweet!
That's a lot more efficient than the way I do it.

gar1976 05-25-2004 12:54 PM

Tried it, got it to work, and now am folding landry faster than, well, fat people eating at White Castle.

b_angelo 05-28-2004 06:41 PM

I'm kinda like gar1976. except i just skip step 3 and dress out of the dryer. Hell I may install dryers in all the bedrooms

ZodGilla 06-11-2004 11:09 AM

Is it bad if I find that video strangely arousing?

da kine 06-14-2004 02:40 AM

I'm no good at this folding thing, but my daughter (she's 11) picked it up in two tries and now she just rips. Very impressive.

Spanxxx 06-16-2004 08:29 AM

It's harder to do this fold in midair than the way I currently do it.

/loathes those with room to actually fold their clothes!

TheFu 06-16-2004 10:43 PM

Impressive. Can't wait to do laundry now.

sashime76 06-17-2004 04:15 AM

I came across this video about 2 months ago. It took me about 4 tries to get it right. Make sure you are positioned exactly like the lady doing the demo. Now you don't need to spend 19.95 for that pastic clothes folding thing on TV infomercial.

zenmaster10665 06-17-2004 04:32 AM

that is excellent. I am thinking of taking my shirt off at work just to try this.

I love Japanese technology.

raist 06-20-2004 12:33 PM

Ha thats great. Will deffinitly give that a try

Slauncha Man 06-20-2004 01:03 PM

I just want to know who was so bored and needed something to do that they made an instructional video about folding laundry. By the way, anyone care to translate it?

DelayedReaction 06-22-2004 09:16 AM

Their kung-fu is strong.

pinkie 07-01-2004 09:14 PM

Wow! I'm going to have to check back with this thread tomorrow while I'm folding laundry. That's pretty neato.

Supple Cow 07-02-2004 07:43 AM

Holy mother! This is going to take most of the drudgery out of doing my laundry. Sweet.

Jay Francis 07-03-2004 05:37 AM

I absoutely love this video. However, I decided to deconstruct what was really happening with the first fold. The same thing can be achieved by laying you t-shirt out flat, and just folding in one side and one sleeve toward the middle. My wife noted that at the retail stores, they have a flat piece of plastic that they lay on the t-shirt and do a quick fold. I was thinking I might get a piece of plastic about the size of the square part of the shirt today and just keep it around the house.

Undercover_Man 07-03-2004 10:11 PM

OMFG!!! That is just too awesome!!! I think I'm gonna start folding instead of hanging now! THANKS

qtpye4u84 07-04-2004 01:25 AM

Oh my gosh. LIke, that was so crazy I looked and I looked I could not get how she did that, thats fricken crazy. I wish I could do that. I just stuff them in my dresser or hang them up.

Supple Cow 07-07-2004 04:29 PM

Now that I've put to field testing, I think it's a bit overrated. The problem is that there's a loose side that makes the clothes difficult to transport. Every time I fish a shirt out, a bunch of other shirts come unfolded around it. :| (It is still fun to do it, though.)

Kazic 07-09-2004 02:57 AM

downloaded and saved that vid. I will have to learn how to do that effectivly. that is straight up awesome.
