...buy gemstones
I'd really like to start collecting gemstones, but I'm not sure how best to go about it. One of the main hurdles is that I'd like natural stones as opposed to created, and it seems like knowing as little as I do, this could turn out badly for me.
I'm not interested in making profit or finding super once in a lifetime deals, I've just got a hankering for stones that borders on draconic. I mainly want them to have, and maybe have jewelry made with them occasionaly. Anyone here have any experience with this hobby?

First thing I would suggest is taking a beginners gemology class at a local university. You'll learn alot about the types of stones and also a little about how to spot fake ones.
