Sweatshirt Turned Red

in the past, I usually wash my red shirts with the color clothes in the washing machine, and from then on they won't turn anything white to red.

well, I just washed my coveted Tommy Hilfiger (given to me by my old roomate) sweatshirt. I crammed it in with the "colors" (the sweatshirt is white) and it came out with gigantic pink blotches all over it. I'm thinking my red collar shirt did it (even though I've washed it many, many times before). My question is:

is there anyway to get these damn red stains out of this thing or am I fucked?

I hate expensive clothes; they tend to fuck up easier than shitty clothes.

The sweatshirt is dry now if anyone was wondering.

Thanks

you're probably screwed - you dyed it. if it's only white though, and the writing isn't dyed in but is silkscreened or something, you can try bleaching it.

If you can't get it white again just get some dye and dye it red.

Then don't do that again it makes you angry!

I did get the T-shirt, but I've put on some weight so it don't fit.

It made a nice grease rag!

That Oxyclean stuff or whatever it's called works well. You may need to wash it a few times. Also, Clorox makes a bleach stick that you can rub on the bad areas. My wife washed a whole bunch of my daughters new clothes with a red sweatshirt and ended up with the same problem. This stuff did the trick. Like I said, multiple washings required...
