Sweat on ur shirts

I dont know if this is a common problem or im the only person that this happens to, but ive noticed that some of my workout shirts begin to get sort of a yellow stain around the armpits, and sometimes they kinda get a musky smell to them, and this would be ok if you could eliminate it with ur washing machine but it stays with the shirt, anyone knows how can i get the odor out? :D

It's a pretty common problem. Ordinary washing of sweat stained clothes doesn't seem to help. From what I got on Google, it's suggested you wash your sweaty clothes ASAP to prevent the stains. I think it's easier to just buy new t-shirts now and again :D

heheh yeah i figured that was the best thing to do.. Thanks! :D

Today I saw a guy at the gym and his shirt at the armpits were yellow as pee. That guy should really really get new shirts.

mastboyx 03-06-2004 12:34 PM

The sweat stains are yellow because sweat contain urea (which is also in urine). Not any help, just fyi.

Not sure, but thats the reason I only wear the same 2 shirts when I work out.

you can always keep them around in your house and use the pheremones to attract women, then scare them away when they find out why they were mystically drawn to you...

urea?? so there´s pee in my sweat!? :| well now thats the new thing i have learned today, definitely

stevie667 03-08-2004 05:53 AM

actually, urea is a combination of amino acids and lactic acid, while present in urine, sure as hell isn't the only part.
