Stereo speaker wire won't reach, any suggestions?
I just bought a nice bookshelf stereo and where my wife wants the actual stereo and where she wants the speakers will not reach. What is the best way to add more speaker wire? Any links, suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I suppose the speakers have RCA connectors attached to the wires or you wouldn't ask a question with such a obvious answer, which is to just buy some speaker wire.......
You could do two things to extend the wires coming off the speakers, either cut the RCA plug off a few inches before the plug and splice in a longer wire..... or just buy long enough extension RCA wires with the male and female RCA plugs. |

I believe there are also 'connectors' for RCA wires that would work... they just look like a little 2-inch double sided RCA connection - connecting two seperate cables together.
However, I am not sure if this would be the cheapest method unless of course you have some spare RCA cables laying around. If its just regular speaker wire, simply cut the two(?) wires, strip a bit off the end, and twist it together with new wire that you have bought - just tape each of the two off seperately making sure the copper inside doesn't touch the other. Good luck
