Lately, I've been interested in the stock market, but I don't know anything about it.
What are some sites you guys and gals would suggest for a complete newbie? What are some tips you'd give, besides buy low, sell high.

Google "paper trading" and find a site you like. Many places allow to paper trade, or practice with an imaginary account before you open a real one. They will often help advise you as well. There may be some small fees, but many sites have lots of help and info. Good luck.

yeah ive been working with ameritrade for 2 months now, i like there style,

tips:

watch the stock for a while several montsh befor you acualy put money in, learn the paterns, learn what affects it, does a negative jobs market hurt it? does it gain when bush gives a 'happy' speach... etc

if you need more help let me know just PM me

bigest tip though is to watch and read EVERYTHING about the stock and company befor you buy.

There is a pretty good trading tutorial and simulator at http://www.investopedia.com

I'm using this in my media economics class. Not bad.
