Gas stove not lighting....
Good evening all,
I have a gas stove in my apartment that was here when I moved in just recently. Upon first trying it out, I found only one of the 3 burners would light. I have checked the electodes that spark on all 4 and they all appear to be sparking just fine, and gas most definitly comes out of the burners when they are turned on, as we can light them with a match if needed. So does anyone know what the problem might be here? I checked the small hole by the electrodes that gas should flow through and it is unobstructed as well. Any suggestions are welcome and much appreciated. |
Mabe the gas isn't getting to the hole near the electrode, but its coming out nearby. Hence - matches work, but the electrode does not. Can you trace a gas line all the way to the hole? Is there a break or hole near the end?

I'd take a thin piece of wire and run it through the pilot hole..... it's probally plugged farther up the line.

Is the spark arcing across to the burner? This will be needed in order to fire the gas.
