Build your own big screen?
Anyone ever buy one of of these plans on ebay or know if they are bs? ( I assume they are).
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...category=32862 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...7&category=617 Etc Or better yet, anyone have the plans or know how to make this work. I think this would be a cool project. |

i think i understand the basics... the picture shows you what's going on...
i suppose with the right equipment you could use proper lenses to prject your tv's image outward, but i'm not a big physics buff, so maybe someone who knows a little more about the properties of light could help us out and maybe save us ten bucks?

Have a buddy who was gonna try this- lost touch with him, but he had done a helluva lot of research and was convinced he could- also had a friend who did it, though I never met this person or saw the result

I haven't read through all the instructions but it sounds like you're just creating a projection system and projecting the tv onto your wall. Is that what it is? Problem is that you would need flawless optics in order to minimize loss of the projection or you would need to turn the brightness and contract way up to "boost the signal" which would really degrade the final product and shorten the life of the tv.
