crayon on the wall

does anybody have any suggestions for removing crayon off my kids bedroom wall? It wouldnt be as difficult as it sounds except for the fact that the genius that runs our apartment complex uses flat paint. thanks

Most apartment complexes around here use Flat paint. The problem is, Flat paint is ALWAYS going to absorb some of the pigment. Try using a product called "Goo-Gone" it's available here in Texas at most grocery stores, and should be pretty much nation wide. If that doesn't work, get yourself some "KILLZ" paint, I think you can actually get it in a spray can now. It's plain old white, but it'll cover pretty much ANYTHING on a painted surface.. the down side? You gotta paint over IT, because it's flat white. abd BRIGHT flat white.

one of the removers, like goo gone - or another one should do the trick. Go to hardware store and they are all together on one shelf. Buy the one that says it removes crayons.

Then, hide all the crayons until jr. is old enough to control his wall drawing. You can buy the crayons that are washable for him to use until then. That's what I did.

Cover it with an oil based knot sealer (used to prime raw wood before painting to prevent bleeding) there are various brands...then just paint over...I was also told that wd40 works but have not tried it.

I was at a friend's house once when I was very young, about 8, and he ran down the hallway with a crayon in each hand, drawing on opposite sides of the hall.

I came back ten years later and you could still see both lines.

Good luck!
