Woodworking plans?

Anyone else out there an amateur woodworker and wants to share some plans? I've seen plenty of free woodworking plans on the 'net, but I haven't seen a ton of quality plans. I'm especially looking for good scrollsaw patterns...

If you've had success with a particular plan, and it's free, post it here.

My experience is like yours - the free plans on the net are good for ideas, but not good as plans per se. Once in a while if you google for specific plans you can actually use for cutlists, etc, but most are pretty bare bones (which actually has been good for me b/c I taught me to be more creative, think about the best way to make items structurally sound, and measure 5x before I cut into a piece of expensive hardwood.)

Popular Woodworking often has decent freebies. Other than that or running Google searches, I'd recommend searching local library DBs for plans/books - lots of libraries have good sized craft sections.

Sorry could not be more help - sounds like I share your pain (a bit.)

The below is the one I have found useful - not really a plan per se but actually an assembly list. Used the ideas in here to make the clock itself.

Most of the plans I have are in books I've bought and magazines I subscribe to. I imagine there would be some copyright issues regarding scanning and posting them. I may have some free ones, though, lying around.

What kind of patterns are you interested in?

I recently got a scrollsaw, so I've been looking for small craft projects that I can give away to friends... Here's the latest one that I purchased of the net:

Which scrollsaw did you get? I just picked up a Delta "Industrial" closeout but have yet to find a need for it (just give me a reason.)

The gnome door is great. I don't have a tree big enough but I am thinking of putting one next to my shed.

I bought the Dremel because it was in my price range:

I use it to make gifts for friends. I made my brother a plaque with a Jesus fish cut out for Father's day, and I recently made a couple of the gnome doors and sent 'em to friends. I put one at the bottom of my front porch. I'll take a few pictures and send them along.
