Lizard food

i caught a lizard today. googled it, and couldn't find the right species. this is not any you would buy as a pet, however this is one you catch in the wild, off boulders and walls. my question, does anyone know what they eat? i don't want the poor thing to starve.

thanks. and hope this is in the right forum

in general lizards eat crickets, small bugs, and worms. but, this varies dependant on species. Describe what it looks like, where you found it?

I do, too, but there's a lot of cali to cover. are you in teh mountains? by the coast? in the foothills? on the valley floor? up way north? what kind of creepy crawlies are common around your area. like i said, they eat bugs alot of times... might be more "humane" just to let the bugger go on his way, though. also, remember, he's not warm-blooded... needs to stay at a quasi warm temperature... too hot or too cold'll kill him.

does he look like one of these guys?

there's a bunch of piccies here. if we knew exactly what he was, it'd help... see if something matches?

as for where i live, i live in chino hills. next to pomona and diamond bar. southern california. 200 miles north of san diego. 40 miles east of downtown los angeles.

Why don't you just let the thing go? How would you like it if someone caught you and kept you for a pet?

normally i would, but my brother's g/f's brother's g/f's sister, named lisette, really really loves lizards. i think it has to do with her name. but she has lizard earrings and lizard everythings. so when i saw it, i caught it with the humane intention of trying to find the right food for it, hence this thread. and giving it to her.

....... why did no one contact me... cheerios, wrk?

crickets are mana from heaven for most lizards. buy a butterfly net and catch moths also.

mealworm, superworm and maybe a catabu (sp) worm. NO EARTHWORMS. not icebergr lettuce, as one guy said.

try various veggies... grreens, piece of carrot. lettuce is ate by almost any lizard but the nutrients SUCK.

how much he did you give it?

give me details.

How big is your saurian?
Giant Lizards are known to eat nubile virgins from neighboring tribes.
It's better if they are chained down to limit accidental injury to your pet.
Clothing is optional.
