How do portable mp3/video players work?
Hep ol' granpa out here..... I have my old mp3 player and have filled it up. Rather than erase and replace, I figured it'd be easy enough to get a new player that also does video. Especially since they are now selling in the neighborhood of $30.
How does the video portion work? Can I put stuff on there from hulu.com or the other video sites? I'd much rather store away South Park eps than music videos. Stay tuned for future meeting about kids skateboarding on the sidewalks and the DMV taking away our licenses. |
I'm not a pro by any means, but I believe as long as the video is in a format your player plays, you're good to go. If you have something in an alternate format it can usually be converted to a friendly format with the software that comes with the player.

on a related note, can you transfer directly from one player to another, or do you have to load it onto a PC and then reload to the new player?

I could be making this up nebulously, tho. :oogle: |
well ya see there are some little gnomes that live inside the video player... they act everything out for you!

Today I'm going to try to copy a music CD I already own to my PC and then transfer it to my iTouch! I'm pretty sure that will work and then I'll transfer all my CD's to PC.
Next project is to figure out how to transfer a vinyl LP to my iTouch since my search this morning indicated that some of what I want is no longer commercially available in any format other than high priced collectors copies.... e.g. Cantate Domino (Proprius CDP 7762). |
