Getting a kohler 6.6 to start on the first pull
Any rokon owners out there that have advice on getting a new trailbreaker to start on the first pull??its a kohler 6.6 hp

Cleaning out the carb would likely help if it is not new. Make sure the choke, if it has one, is in good working order. Also it is a good idea to cycle the engine a few times by pulling the starter slowly. That could count as your "first pull" though. If all else fails, a quick shot of ether (starting fluid) might help. If the fuel system has a primer, be sure to use it.
Why must it start on the first pull?... in my book second or third is just fine. edit- noticed it is new.. so ignore the carb cleaning unless it was stored at the dealer with gas in it. |
