I need the help of my tfp family of intellectuals and geeks
I have an older digitlal camera a Polaroid pdc 700. I've taken hundreds of great pictures with it and have had some success twisting them around. Sometimes the image won't save in the way that I have made changes. What is my biggest headache the file sizes are saved soooo big that emailing them takes forever and I can't upload them to a server to share with all my tfp family. typical picture is 1200x900 pixels and the file size is 159923bytes. I want to share these pictures with everone and can't because I can't get them shrunk! Besides I have a few really cute ones I'd like to use as an avatar Thanks in advance to all who can help

A great little graphic viewer. You can crop, resize, do some basic image manipulation, and save in a variety of formats. And it's free. |

Photoshop, Image/Image size/ change inches to percent in the Document size drop down boxes, change percentage to what you want your Images to be.... click OK then File/save as/save...... In jpeg options choose the quality that suits you, medium usually is the best for e-mailing, depending on the size you changed your pic's to.
You probally don't have Photoshop but if you like to take digital pic's you really need Photoshop..... plus it's alot of fun |

You need Photoshop Elements to do mutliple photo resizing. 100 pic's won't take that long once you get it down from all the repetition......
This program does multiple resizing, It's free..... I haven't used it but it should be easy to figure out. http://www.fookes.com/ezthumbs/index.php Last edited by Ashton; 07-05-2003 at 01:56 AM.. |

using photoshop, theres something called "save for web", you can bring the quality down a little and make the photo alot smaller. Granted 100 % looks much better then 80, but its not going to make to much of a difference in the long run.

Thanks for the imput I feel kinda of stupid for not knowing, but that's just the tip of the iceberg. Need someone and sometime to do alot more with all these pictures....like putting them to disk.
Tried this am and cd burner wouldn't, bugs kept coming up. The good news is I found some software that I already had called polaroid photomax pro so the resizing was done. Just so much shit it does. Made a great slide show but couldn't put it to disk to mail off. that's next weeks lesson Thanks Aston, Big Julie , flamingpeach, The Atomic Boy, & Snakeyes . Someday I might get the rest of the knowledge.
