Will USAA pay for tomorrow's rental in this case?

Someone backed into my car and it has spent over a week in the shop being repaired at the expense of that someone's insurance carrier, USAA. During this time USAA has paid for a rental car for me to drive around in, which I of course appreciate. When I rented the car, I asked something about when it would need to be returned so that USAA will pick up all of the bill and I would not be charged for any extra days. They said once the repairs are done.

So earlier this afternoon a couple of hours before the body shop closes I get a call from the shop saying that my car will be ready and done about 20 minutes before their closing time (6 pm). Unfortunately I was unable to make this time due to such short notice, so I will have to go and pick it up tomorrow and return my rental as well.

My question is, will USAA still pay for the rental for tomorrow? Or does the fact that the car is 'ready for pickup' 20 minutes before the body shop closes mean that USAA considers today to have been the last day of repairs and that's the end of it, and I'll have to foot the bill for tomorrow's rental? The rental company in question is Enterprise if that makes any difference.

Obviously USAA would be the ones to ask this question but their customer service is closed and it's gnawing at me, besides I'd prefer to have some idea as to how these things work before I ask or say the wrong thing tomorrow at the body shop or the rental place. It's more about the principle than the $30/day...

I actually have USAA myself, and last year my car was hit while it was parked. The other person's insurance covered my rental the entire time I didn't have MY car. I also had to pick it up the next day as you have, and I didn't pay a dime towards anything, even though my car was ready that previous day. Not the answer you were looking for about USAA specifically, but I hope that does shed some light for you.

This isn't so much a USAA specific question as a general insurance question. The answer is that USAA shouldn't even question the extra day since it isn't really an extra day. You're picking up the car as soon as reasonably possible. Don't worry about it.

Thanks, I appreciate the replies. I dropped off the rental this morning and they said they'd do an extension and there shouldn't be an issue with that.
