Snowskates, ever tried it

I'm researching snowskates for my company. I've done quite a bit of digging on them. I was just wondering if anyone out there has done it, and could give me some reviews about boards, and what they would like to see in one.

yeah I have a snowskate and you wouldn't believe how much fun me and my friends have with this thing, we can us it just about anywhere there is snow; but we have the most fun sliding down the little hills that the plows make all over town.

wee also use pieces of wood as rails and slide arround on them (dangerous stuff, I almost broke a rib falling on one, worst pain I've ever felt). Anyway it's great fun. We can even use it on a trampoline!!(might not try it again though, I busted my balls last time )

Have you checked Kazaa? there's a couple of videos on snowskates.

Oh and I don't know if this is really important but my snowskate's brand is Premier....one of their first models I believe.

Thanks for the info
I've tried snowskateing, and it is great. Your right short, steep hills are the best. I was just wondering what you like about your Premier, or what you would like to see changed on it, stuff like deeper grooves, wider waist, gripier surface. I like my snowskate stiff and light, just wondering what others think.

Well I can't really do much with it, well I can do tons but I can't really do ollies, kickflips etc... New snowskates have much steeper edges wich probably helps alot. As for grip, I think it's ok, it's just black foam basically; it can get a bit slippery when the snow is too wet but it usually doesn't really bother me.

I guess the best board would have a more 'textured' grip surface, very tough plastic, wood, fiberglass, etc (mine is made with some sort of plastic and is now full of scratches and dents), it also has to be long, maybe half the length of a snow board, the edges should be tougher than the rest of the board (especially where you place your feet).

btw, what company are you working for?

i like my snowskates to have lots of concave, twintipped, stiff with very large nose/tail as i like to do ollies and various fliptricks.
The snowskate shouldnt really be too long, but atleast longer than 35 inces. And having sharper edges make you bite the dust when doing boardslides (especially if you allready got the turnaround style on fs boardslide from skateboarding). Btw, how high do you guys ollie? I ollie about 18 inces of the ground which makes it fun to ollie up and slide on things. 2 years ago i slided a 6 meter long, 50 cm high ledge.
