"necklace"
I wasn't too sure where to put this thread, but decided on the knowledge section because that is what I am seeking, is anyone knowing anything about this "necklace" I found about 5 or 6 years ago. I should tell you where I found it and the circumstances behind it.
I had a friend that was a roofer and they kept the roofing trucks at the dump, and he used to take a look at what all people had thrown away when they got back to the yard after work, He called me one day and said someone had dumped a lot of jewelry and purses and such. so I met him down there and we went through it all. Some of the oddest jewelry I have ever seen. And there must have been 100 or so purses. I am assuming the stuff belonged to the woman whose birth certificate I found in one of the purses, and on the line where it says "race" it was typed "colored". So, I'm guessing she must have been in her 90's. any way...this is the necklace I would like to ask if anyone knows anything about. It almost looks like some sort of voodoo thing. It is obviously homemade, but intricate none the less. it has little dolls every inch or so, in between the chili peppers.

I was going to say Santeria-related. Also, the thread title sounds dirty when you've just read through several threads in the sexuality section.

Those look to me like "worry dolls." My sister and I each had a box of them when we were very young.
