Sending food internationally
OK, this is going to seem like a weird question, but...
I want to send some chocolate to South Africa (*looks in mandy's direction*). What's the best way to go about doing that and avoid having it melt on the way there? Would also be nice if it doesn't cost too much ;) |
I got a box of chocolate from Germany... best thing was good packaging, have the choclate surrounded by stuff so its not absorbing heath through the box. Not really so sure I can do anything about the melting part.
Mine made it from Frankfort to AZ in one piece and unmelted. |
/wishes bags of All-Dressed Ruffles from Canada were smaller
Just make sure it's protected from the heat, and you should be set. |
that does it! I'm sending Snowy some all dressed ruffles! PM me your address, OSO!

http://www.mrboxonline.com/16-oz-gel-pack-p-2924.html you need something like this to do it right with no worries. |
not to be off topic but snowy and I share a love of all dressed ruffles....heck we've even eaten them together.
Is there a place in SA you could order it from? |
|
lol well I wasnt thinking "candy bar" when you said chocolate
|
Oooh, you should send her a bag of mini Butterfingers and some full-size ones. I prefer the little ones--they're just the right size, somehow.
|
If it's packaged well (sealed tight) sometimes your recipient can whack it in the fridge to harden it up if its melted...
Alas, I do not think Rocher and her friend Creme Egg can make it.... but the Butterfingers probably could! |
