Help me Identify this Bird! - Tilted Forum Project Discussion Community

This bird has shown up this winter at the pond on campus and has generally mystified everyone as to it's species. You can't really see it in the last photo, but his wings are dark green and white. Can you help?

its a duck of some sort, but i can't pick the breed yet. i'm looking around a bit.
