Stripper Glitter

Ok..well not stripper glitter in this case...because its regarding my SOs 8 year old daughter.

She dumps all her clothes in the washer....I do the wash, throw it in the dryer. After its all done, I find an empty bottle of body glitter in the dryer and glitter all over everything.

At least it was her clothes. However, theres probably going to be some on my clothes that are going through the dryer right now.

Anyone have any idea on how to remove that crap from my clothes, or is it just going to have to work itself out?

Thanks,

I am not a laundry expert but maybe one of those sticky lint brushes?

Does that glitter stuff stick to dry clothes? My first thought was that a thorough washing and real good drying would get rid of most of it, either flush away or fall off during the drying cycle.

Otherwise, not be a smart ass, but a little sparklyness on the family members could be nice for the holiday season.

Glitter is my ultimate nemesis... I hate it so much and the thought of your clothes being covered in the stuff sends shivers down my spine

it really does stick to everything, if it's the really fine stuff i don't think you'll ever get it off... just burn the clothes and write it off as bad luck.

Now i havnt ever tried it but... what about a strong vacume? like a hose from a shop vac. if it can suck up gravel and random crud maybe it will get the glitter off. I wouldnt suggest doing that with anything delicite but tshirts or jeans and stuff like that it shouldnt hurt and its worth a try at the least. Never know maybe you will get lucky and it will work.

If not... i would have to agree with burning them. Strippers wear that stuff in part of a evil plot for men to get caught by wives/girlfriends whatever. It gets on everything and its harder to get rid of then roaches.

Btw might not be a good idea to call it stripper glitter out loud that girl might hear it and get some ideas thinking wearing glitter is cool what kinda job could i get that lets me wear glitter.

Become a stripper and deduct the cost of cleaning as an unreimbursed employee expense on your tax return. ;)

That sure has a ring of truth to it ...just yesterday in my office I opened a Christmas card I got from a distributor and hung it on my wall. A few minutes later somebody asked me with a suspicious smiling tone "where did you get that green glitter on your face ...been kissing a stripper?" and suggested I try to remove it before going home or deal with the consequences
