Need google experts (Mal!) for fake Venus Fly Trap source
 

I need to locate a source for silk or plastic venus fly traps (only heads needed, really). Ideally they'd be around 2", lightweight, and cheap. I've searched google for:

"Silk venus fly trap"
"Plastic venus fly trap"
"Fake venus fly trap"
"Artificial venus fly trap"

And I just keep getting sites dedicated to the live plants, grrr. I can't believe there aren't plastic ones available, so I rather hope that the fault lies with my search phrases. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Whether theyre available or not I'd imagine they'd be rare. They usually make fakes of plants that are pretty, I mean who would want a fake fly trap? Besides you :)

What do you need them for anyway?

Hey, I have had the same problem. I purchased two groupings of insectiverious Picture Plants made out of silk from a local nursery, which happened to be on sale. They look like the real thing, so I have this huge glass terraium from Smith & Hawkin, that the two stalks (about 8-12 tubes per stalk) of Picture Plants would look good in there with some other silk insectiverious plants. If any one knows of other types of insectiverious plants made out of silk, please let me know. If you want to know the name of the nursery where I bought my Silk Picture Plants, let me know and I'll get the name and phone # to you.

Also, I posted my search as "artificial plant" + venus
the quotes specified I wanted the search to match the exact phrasing of artificial plant and the + specified I wanted it to also only show results containing both the quoted phrase and the single word together.

LMAO! Indeed, I didn't look at the dates on the OP. Or any of the posts for that matter, I normally don't. But since it had been resurrected by someone else and returned to the top of the list I had a go at finding the little buggers. Ah well, like Jack said, Better Nate then Lever!

Hmmm, I think maybe I want to buy some fake Venus Fly Traps and put them on my truck's grille guard and tail gate as some kind alien growth.
