Precipation Information
Hi Everyone,
I am trying to compile a report at work regarding precipation data for seven counties in my state. I have been looking on the National Weather Service site and have not found anything thus far. Does anyone have any suggestions as to where this type of data may be found? Thanks In Advance! |
I googled on this:
precipitation data by state and got this: http://www.ncgc.nrcs.usda.gov/produc...itation-state/ |
Nice, its a start, but I do not have the program that is required to view the data.
Thanks |
the pdf's open in Acrobat reader which is a free program - that is a map of the state that shows precipition in inches...
What state are you in? |
I need data for Ohio
|
googling on precipitation data ohio gets you :
http://iwin.nws.noaa.gov/iwin/oh/climate.html http://www.ohiodnr.com/water/pubs/fs_div/fctsht11.htm |
That is getting there, it sort of is helpful.
What I am looking for is (report for my detail oriented boss) is.. Snowfall during the month of xx in xx County: xx inches Total precip during the month of xx in xx County: xx inches Something like that... I know the NWS does not have weather stations in every county of every state, but I know there are alot of weather observers that report the data on a regular basis. THANKS! |
