it's why I love the navy. I've run into some great ones.
There was an SN (Seaman) Swallows.
One guy on ship had the last name of Minigoats. His rate.... IC2. They found a reason to page him over the 1MC almost every day. "IC2 Minigoats, please report to the bridge"
New a Master Chief Holder once. So at one point in his career, he was SN Holder.

Also, in Tucson Az, there is a Dr. Quack. No shit.
Went to school with an April May June as well.
And yes, there really is a Major Payne.
There is also a guy names Joe Marine, who joined, what else, the Marines.

Dr. Harry Beaver OBGYN has retired. My wife actually ran across his malpractice file while temping for Aetna some year's back, and my best friend went to elementary school with his daugher, Elizabeth.

My Aunt also had a Shithead (Shih theed) in her class.

The head of the Anthro Department at UVa my freshman year was Richard Handler. Went by Dick.

Also in Charlottesville was a purveyor and manager of substandard housing called the DeButts Land Management Corp. Owner? Richard DeButts.

Back in 1997 I was sorting resumes while listening to NPR news. A story about Viagra came up just as I pulled out a resume for a fellow named Peter Steel.

Work with a girl named Tippy Rodbumrung. When she was first hired, my office mate and I would occasionally pronounce her name a la Beavis. We also have a Wing Wang on staff, as well as a Yuk Sing (never taking him to kareoke.)

While I was working in retail, I took credit cards from folks surnamed Felch and Felcher (at different times.)

One of the greatest monsters of the 20th century began life with the name Adolph Schickelgruber. Imagine if you will how much different life might have been if his uncle Alois Hitler hadn't adopted him.

I worked at a hotel long ago, and a lady walked in to check in. She handed me her credit card, and I said "thank you, Ms...." pause. It said Bumpass, I was floored. She exclaimed, very annoyed, "it's Bum Pess! BUM PESS!!" I almost got fired, and for what I didn't say! Probably cause I was laughing my ass off as she walked away

In the military, I knew a Major Dick. She was pretty happy when she got promoted to LtCol Dick. Also, there was a guy near the elementary school on base, whose last name was Assman. (In the military, in base housing, they put a sign with our last name on the house. The signs are readable from the road)

I met a couple of kids whos father was a Sgt Major in the Army Airborne, her name was ''Canopy'' and he was ''RipCord''.

I also went to school with Mike Hunt. My buddies last name is klinger, at one point when he was in the Army, he was a corporal... that was an amusing time in his life...

I am a teacher, so I see a lot of weird names. I have students named Mister, Y'Munique (I'm unique) which was funny because I had a student in the same class named Unique, Gunner Ray, Amanda Lay, Richard Cox (Dick is short for Richard), there was a family with 4 kids: Summer, Autumn, Winter, and Spring, a family with 3 kids: Faith, Hope, and Charity. Those are all that I can think of off the top of my head. I have a student named Sheniece which would be funny if she had a brother named Henephew.

There was a guy at school whose name was:
Be A Ware

Yes, his middle name was 'A'. Not an initial! Suppose he could be tough and drop it and go by "Be Ware."

I was having a talk with a friend of mine the other day about kids who're named after traits their parents hope they inherit, and how it can be somewhat annoying. She decided that if she had a daughter, just to spite the people that do that, she would name her after a trait she hoped her daughter would get from her: Big Tits.

I hope to god she was laughing because it was a joke... Otherwise I'm going to have to be really nice to that kid for allowing her mom to name her that.

probably the strangest thing i've ever seen in my stint at the hospital was a kid named "Messiah" we used to keep a list of stickers with strange names of patients, but i imagine someone important found out about it and HIPPA came to the rescue...

I've also seen twins with the names Vishnu and Shivia

my mom had a guy come in for an interview who was named Richard Head, he was a tatoo artist who wanted a graphic design job and was supposedly in the process of changing his name. one of my teachers also has a kid named Utah, which isn't really very funny, just weird.
