Internet swindle
In my profession, it is imperative that I keep up with the latest internet security threats.
I was intrigued when a newsletter ran the headline featuring my company’s name, saying "Two Hundred Thirty-Seven People At [ my company ] Victims of Latest Internet Swindle." Because (where I work) is not a large company, I clicked on the newsletter. Unfortunately, the details were available only to subscribers. Because it would probably have a lot of other information that I could use, the $15 subscription seemed reasonable. I subscribed without hesitation and clicked on the story. It was a dead link. I returned to the home page and the headline now said "Two Hundred Thirty-Eight People At [ my company ] Victims of Latest Internet Swindle."
