My Favorite Nun Joke

Two old nuns are sitting in the tub together.

One turns to the other and says, "Wheres the soap?"

The other says, "It does, doesn't it?"

Delvid 08-17-2004 10:55 AM

I need a little help with that one.

ShaniFaye 08-17-2004 10:59 AM

Me too...I've looked at it about 6 times now and I still dont get it

unoaman 08-17-2004 11:03 AM

Put me on the list too...

Redlemon 08-17-2004 11:04 AM

I am suspicious of any joke with the word 'soap' in it.

CoachAlan 08-17-2004 11:07 AM

It could be a nonsense-type joke. You know, one that is funny because it doesn't make any sense at all. At least I hope it is, because I'm completely lost.

WarriorBuddha 08-17-2004 11:28 AM

Hey jester, a little help please. Nobody gets it. Including the enlightened one.

mino 08-17-2004 12:11 PM

She said "where's"... but the other Nun heard "wears".

Makes sense now?

Cynthetiq 08-17-2004 12:15 PM

No Soap Radio.... nuff said.

Shpoop 08-17-2004 01:03 PM

yea i thought about the 'wheres-wears' pun, but i still dont get it

as far as i can tell, its the type of joke thats only funny when u tell everyone in a group except one to laugh at it, so naturally the guy left out does too, then you all make fun of him.

dinkie222 08-17-2004 02:47 PM

Yeah...not getting it

mino 08-17-2004 02:49 PM

One nun says "Where's the soap?", wondering where it is.

The second says "Yes, it does (WEAR the soap), doesn't it?". The joke is in what the second nun is DOING with the soap that would be wearing it down, with the presumption that the soap is under the water somewhere, what with the first nun not knowing where it was.

If it was funny before, it's certainly not once it's been dissected like this. Hehe.

Confederate 08-17-2004 03:35 PM

yea I agree any joke that requires that much thought put into it, is no longer funny

jester 08-19-2004 03:15 PM

Yeah, I like unobvious jokes for some reason.

majik_6 08-19-2004 07:02 PM

That's a damned good one! I think it'd be more easily understood either presented orally or visually represented, however it's definitely one that's gonna go in my mental rolodex!
