I used to room with a trucker who claimed he hauled kangaroo for McDonalds. He swore up and down that he was telling the truth, and I do seem to recall McDonalds getting in trouble for the type of meat they were using. But I'm pretty confident that it's all beef now, and has been for quite some time.

"Beef" and "meat" are two very different things.
But kangaroo seems unlikely - kangaroo meat is much, much more expensive than beef. I've had it before, and there's a noticable taste that can't compare to cow.

haha those are hilarious.
Its funny though. When I was a kid and worked at McD's the company that made the beef patties was called 100% Beef so thats how they could sell it as such.

I'm actually wondering about their lobster roll. Considering how restricted lobsters are, I have to wonder where they get the meat. I'm betting it's recycled from people who, confronted for the first time by a giant red bug, lose their appetites and just eat the cole slaw.
