Well just recently at the town church, the bell ringer of 20 years just died and they have to find a replacement. So the priest decides to spread the word that interviews for the next bellringer are starting. He is looking for a strong individual who would be dedicated every day to ring the bell.

Person after person try for the position but no one was just right, until one man came into town and applied for the job. When the priest saw him he noticed that he had no arms.

"How on earth do you plan to ring the bell?"

"Oh dont worry about me Father, give me a chance and let me show you."

So the armless man backs up about 50 feet, runs full speed, jumps into the air and crashes right into the church bell over 3 stories high! The priest is amazed by this feet and decides to hire him.

The armless man works ringing the bell every day and doesnt miss a beat. The priest is even tempted to call him the best bell ringer he had. But on Christmas Day the armless man wants to make the bells ring louder than he ever did before, so he backs up 100 feet, runs at full speed, jumps into the air but misses the bell. He goes through one of the stain glass windows and crash lands onto the street and kills himself on impact. A large amount of churchgoes witness this accident and croud around him. People are all asking to each other. "Does anyone know this poor man's name?"

Someone from the back of the croud sees him and says "Well I dont know his name but his face rings a bell!"

Well, you know who they got to replace
him, don't you? That's right, the armless
man's brother applied for the job, and got
it, even though he was just as armless and
had to improvise in the same way.

And sure enough, some time later, the new
man also fell to his death from the tower.

This time, when the crowd gathered around,
and the priest once again asked if anyone
could identify him, the voice in the crowd
replied...

"No, I don't know his name. But he's a dead
ringer for his brother!"
