So there's this little boy, and his father's been at the bar too long and is too drunk to get home on his own so his mother sends him to get his father. The little kid walks into the bar and tugs on his dad saying, "Mom says it's time to go home." The father grudgingly agrees
Once they reach home, the father suddenly stops. He tells his son that he won first prize in the fair earlier that day and had left his first prize ribbon back at the bar. So the father sends the little boy back on to the bar.
The little boy walks back into the bar. The bartender looks down at him and says, "What do you want?" The little boy answers, "Pap's blue ribbon."

It's a play on Pabst Blue Ribbon, a brand of beer.

and a disgustingly disgusting brand of beer at that I think it's 37 cents a case!!

Its on the same level as Black Label. Frankly, those got me through college! $7 a case for bar bottles! Wooo hoo!
