mick and paddy are two irish pilots that have found jobs flying for a budget airline based out of ukraine.

they are coming in to land at a slightly difficult runway; mick leans over and talks to paddy

"begosh that runway looks a bit short?"
"aye it does that"
"tell ya what paddy, when we get nearer, i'll bring the ground speed right down to nearly stall speed"
"ye might need to mick, its a fearsome short runway"

a few moments later

"paddy, could you put the engines into reverse for us?"
"aye, i'll be doing tha' just now"
"and lock the wheel brakes on too could ya?"
"i'll be doing that too"

the plane touches down, leaving most of the tyre rubber behind, flaps open to the max and just stops a few feet short of the edge of the tarmac.

"paddy we made it!"
"we did mick, and have ye ever seen such a short runway"
"no, never, and not such a wide one either"
