Batman (Leslie H. Martinson ; 1966) || Poster artwork (France) by Boris Grinsson.

Quote:
1966 - Considered by many to be the most stunning and best artwork of all Batman movie posters is the 47x63 French release from 1966. With a full close-up body shot of Adam West and Penguin and Catwoman within his cape wings!

Steinman is credited with the album cover concept, which was illustrated by Richard Corben.
The cover depicts a motorcycle, ridden by a long-haired man, bursting out of the ground in a graveyard.
In the background, a large bat perches atop a mausoleum that towers above the rest of the tombstones.
In 2001, Q magazine listed the cover as number 71 in its list of "The Hundred Best Record Covers of All Time."

Disorderlies (Michael Schultz ; 1987)

(It may seem "newer", but I think 20 years is a good enough tally towards time in order to typify something as "vintage / retro". The above, is almost as good as 25 years in the making.)
