A more relevant summary: Imagine if there was a version of TFP based around sharing images and emphasising text less, allows anonymous posting, is effectively unmoderated, and gets 200,000 posts per day ranging from icanhascheezburger pictures to porn and gore.

Those that frequent that board are all-together referred to as Anonymous and form the collective freudian Superego and Id of the internet. They might help the police find an animal abuser or they might invade somewhere and fuck with the natives. The ONLY thing they care about is the Lulz and their only motivation is preserving and producing it.

Just copied this and sent it off to one of my ultra-conservative friends who is always forwarding emails to me about the evils of government (which are mostly true). Nice to have someone point out the other side. The fact of the matter is, when things are going right, they go largely unnoticed.
