Plants are spikey and hurty.
Animals are teethy and bitey. |
I brushed up against a nettle plant once...felt like a thousand hornets had their way with my leg...for hours...but that wasn't in the south. Canada.

Everything was simpler than I thought. I thought the first one was a metaphor for penis. Couldn't figure out what the second part meant. Five a.m. thinking.

The penis metaphor also works. Southern boys are notoriously randy.
A friend of mine used to say if it bites, stings, or is poisonous, it grows in eastern North Carolina. |
