old guy who lived a hard shitty life was on his death bed, his wife of 70 years was sitting by his side holding his hand.

"mable, do you remember when we were young, and the depression hit, and we had nothing and we barely scraped by?"

"yes dear, of course. i was with you right by your side."

"and mable, do you remember when things got a little better, but you got pregnant and i had to work two jobs to support us, working day and night, but i got fired from one."

"yes, of course. i was right by your side then as well."

"and mable, you were with me when i got really really sick, and ended up in the hospital, which pretty much wiped out our savings, and i still had to work even though i wasn't healthy."

"oh yes dear, i was. i've been with you right by your side this whole time."

"mable, i think you are bad luck."
