A Baptist, a Catholic and a Mormon are all sitting in a diner eating breakfast together when the Baptist starts bragging about his family.

“ I have 4 sons! One more and I'll have a basketball team”

“Oh, very nice” says the Catholic, “But I have 10 sons, one more and I'll have a football team!”

The Mormon remains quiet, listening to his friends.

“What's wrong?” The Catholic and Baptist ask “aren't you proud of your family?”

“Well, yes I am” says the Mormon “I have 17 wives, one more and I'll have a golf course!”

Oh man!
Too bad Mormons don't have multiple wives these days. Kinda ruins the joke.

Some mormons (or derivative branches) do have multiple wives.

The 'clergy' reference ruined it for me. Not to be picky, but catholic clergy are celibate, no?

Any polygamous relationship is looked down upon by the mormon church these days. You'll be excommunicated if you try. It's the Fundamentalist LDS Church that are hung up on polygyny.

Ah, yes. I didn't even catch that. Clergy is definitely the wrong term to use there.
