This makes me much happier than the one where they just white-out Garfield's thought bubbles, but nothing stands up to Lasagna Cat, where a live cast recreates a comic strip, then turns each one into a music video. Unfortunately, it looks like the Lasagna Cat website has fallen off of the web already, but there's still some on YouTube - lasagnacat's Channel.

These pop up every few weeks. I also remember having once found a version that kept the cat in but removed his dialogue, thus giving us a view of the 'real world' version. It was great, in that it painted a picture of John as a lonely, pathetic man who talked to his cat because no one else would listen.
