Shave Everywhere (might be NSFW)

In my quest to find a new electric shaver, I came upon this site. This is the best thing ever. Might not be suitable for work.

Make sure to watch everything the site has to offer. The music video is priceless.

Your review is anxiously awaited. I've been using a Gillette Venus, and I'd prefer something a little more manly and less sharp edges.

Ok.. So Here's the review..

Setting:
The bathroom

Cast:
Cervantes, Philips Bodygroom

Well, after finally deciding to test it I decided that I would shave my armpits, my chest and the "nether" regions completely bare. (Anyone who wants an idea of how hairy I am can look for my old post in Exhibition).
After some trepidation and anxiety, this buzzing apparatus was hopefully going to give me an easy solution for keeping my body hair free.

Initial reaction,
Before I found the right technique it hurt a bit, not much but the hairs seemed to constantly get caught in it. (ouch). After I found how I could most effectively make use of it, it worked.... well.. Fairly well, (my skin was moist as it is still darn hot here).

Hindsight reaction,
Shaving the armpits: Went surprisingly fast but still left a bit of stubble, that was hard to rid oneself of without a razor. (frankly I used a razor here as the stubble was very uncomfortable).

Shaving the chest and stomach: Took longer than anticipated, left red scrape marks on the chest that took a bit of time to go away, pretty good for the initial clearing of the woods but still left a fair bit of stubble. I don't know if it was because of my moist skin that it didn't work that well on this department.

Shaving the Crown Jewels: By this time I had worked up a pretty good technique with it so it went fairly fast but the nooks and crannies and loose skin of the package made it hard to use. Nicked me and actually drew blood twice but nothing even remotely serious. Still a bit of stubble, I really think that it was my moist skin that gave me trouble here. (still forced to use a razor to clear the last of the stubble)

Shaving the backdoor valley: This was hard to reach but went surprisingly well drawing from the "center" out. Almost no noticable (meaning that really nasty stubble feeling when walking) discomfort. (Surprisingly no need for a razor here.)

Trying to get rid of the stubble without a razor: Think my moist skin ruined it, dunno if I dare use it in the shower will have to make a revaluation of it when my skin is dry. Think it works best when you are completely dry.
Still had to use a razor in the shower to get rid of the last stubble.

As it is now, it is a bit hard to use but still a good tool for the initial clearing, will have to get back on how well it performs on routine maintenance.
But judging by the amount of stubble it left behind it would probably work quiet well clearing that up too if the skin is dry.

Bodygroom VS. Razor 0-1
Razor still takes the lead when it comes to give that silky smooth feeling, but the Bodygroom can actually be useful for clearing the woods and makes the whole shaving with a razor afterwards a rather quick and pleasant experience. Will get back on how well it performs in routine maintenance. Still not feeling like I could use it to it’s fullest potential because of my damp skin.
