I'm trying to win a bet.

I think most people when they're showering alone don't bother to step out to pee ... after all, it's sterile and goes down the drain anyway. A friend of mine thought that was "totally gross" and that I just had a bad habit.

So ... my theory is this:
A.) Most people don't mind peeing in the shower (when they're alone).
B.) The people who do step out are mostly female.


So I'm asking for

b) if you have to step out of the shower to pee

Why pee in the shower when there's a toilet 3 feet away? Because you're, you know, soggy. Have to get out, dry off to make it 3 feet just to go back another 3 feet to get back in the shower.

*on a practical level it saves water because you're saving a flush.
It's sanitary because urine is sterile (unlike poo) as urine is filtered directly from your blood.
And, while I try to pee beforehand, sometimes you don't feel the urge until you're surrounded by running water ...

Why should I waste 5 gallon of toilet water if I am going to be in the shower anyway. Its not like I am spraying it all over the walls - I am simply peeing down the drain.

Yeah, I don't get the whole stepping out thing either. It goes down the drain anyway, so why bother walking across the bathroom to the toilet, lifting the lid, aiming, flushing and making your way back instead of just letting loose on the spot? Guy here.

And to the guys who pee before the shower. I actually wait for the water to heat up, get into the tub and pee then.

It's only nasty when you pee while taking a bath...

I said no, but it hasn't always been the case. When spending time in third world countries (Ecuador, Chile, and parts of Mexico) I make it a point to always pee in the shower, usually directly onto my feet. It helps kill the nasty bugs and fungus that you can pick up.

I'm a shower peeing guy - because I'm too damned tired to remember to pee before I get in.

Also...

I wear glasses/contacts. I don't like washing my face with lenses in, so I wear my glasses to the bathroom, and take them off to get into the shower.

Why on EARTH would I get out the shower, put on my glasses (they mist up) open the door & window to get the airflow going so they demist, take a leak, close the door and window again, get back into the shower.

As for getting out to pee with no glasses, I might just as well stick my dick out the shower curtain and piss right onto the bathmat and floor, I'd make no more mess than peeing blind....

Y'know, there's a seat on the toilet. I'm practically blind (-13 diopters, which is wicked nearsighted), and I can still find the toilet seat to sit down in a nearly dark room. Hard to miss from a seated position.

You know, I am a lady (HA!) and I don't get out to pee.

You're right though - I can find the loo in the dark and pe successfully without glasses.

I just find it easier to let go in the shower, and I'm fooling myself by justifying it any other way. :lol:

it's something i've had to take a long time to get used to. even if i went before hand, the warm water always made me feel the need to again later.

you're washing afterwards... the soap cleans you... and the tub too... who cares? bf and i thankfully haven't started the peeing on each other tho that's alittle more than i can handle :lol:

I usually do before I get in, but I tend to take long showers (especially weekends) and I drink at least a gallon of water a day, and it's just convenient to do it when I'm there, because I can make sure I'm nice and clean, and I don't have to make a mess getting out.

Ofcourse I pee in the shower, urine contains amoina which is a nautral byproduct that is also antiseptic. Helps getting rid of athletes feet. (you know, when they itch so badly you wish you could just cut them off). :P

The warm running water makes me want to, plus i find it hard to when i first wake up. And you know, it's sterile.

Haven't done it with my girlfriend in the shower, came close once (bit of a habit), but i just know one day i'm going to and it'll be hilarious. She'll either pee on me, or run screaming from the shower, I can't quite pick it. Guess it depends on what happens the night/morning before :D.

I see no harm in it for many of the reasons already listed. I also think it's quite pleasant to pee standing up in warm water :D

I'd step out. But like somebody else said, I pee before I shower. Pee when it's time to pee, shower when it's time to shower. If you get the urge to pee when you're in the shower -- well, how long _do_ you spend in there, anyway? I'm in and out in five minutes, a little longer if I shampoo. I'd have to have a bladder the size of a thimble if I couldn't hold it that long.

i think it is pretty interesting that no matter what sex you look at, more people pee in the shower. makes me feel a little less weird.

untill i read this i thought i was lazy. I take long showers and i can honestly say i havnt felt the urge to pee in the shower since i was like 5. have always gone before taking a shower since.

i usually pee before i get in, but there have been times when i felt the sudden urge to pee and i went ahead and did it in the shower. i suppose you call it lazy, but i dont want to have to get out, dry myself off, pee, and then get back into the shower.
