I'm trying to win a bet.

I think most people when they're showering alone don't bother to step out to pee ... after all, it's sterile and goes down the drain anyway. A friend of mine thought that was "totally gross" and that I just had a bad habit.

So ... my theory is this:
A.) Most people don't mind peeing in the shower (when they're alone).
B.) The people who do step out are mostly female.


So I'm asking for

b) if you have to step out of the shower to pee

Why pee in the shower when there's a toilet 3 feet away? Because you're, you know, soggy. Have to get out, dry off to make it 3 feet just to go back another 3 feet to get back in the shower.

From 2003, we had Peeing in the shower - Tilted Forum Project. I haven't changed my mind.

*on a practical level it saves water because you're saving a flush.
It's sanitary because urine is sterile (unlike poo) as urine is filtered directly from your blood.
And, while I try to pee beforehand, sometimes you don't feel the urge until you're surrounded by running water ...

Why should I waste 5 gallon of toilet water if I am going to be in the shower anyway. Its not like I am spraying it all over the walls - I am simply peeing down the drain.

Yeah, I don't get the whole stepping out thing either. It goes down the drain anyway, so why bother walking across the bathroom to the toilet, lifting the lid, aiming, flushing and making your way back instead of just letting loose on the spot? Guy here.

And to the guys who pee before the shower. I actually wait for the water to heat up, get into the tub and pee then.

It's only nasty when you pee while taking a bath...

I said no, but it hasn't always been the case. When spending time in third world countries (Ecuador, Chile, and parts of Mexico) I make it a point to always pee in the shower, usually directly onto my feet. It helps kill the nasty bugs and fungus that you can pick up.

I'm a shower peeing guy - because I'm too damned tired to remember to pee before I get in.

Also...

I wear glasses/contacts. I don't like washing my face with lenses in, so I wear my glasses to the bathroom, and take them off to get into the shower.

Why on EARTH would I get out the shower, put on my glasses (they mist up) open the door & window to get the airflow going so they demist, take a leak, close the door and window again, get back into the shower.

As for getting out to pee with no glasses, I might just as well stick my dick out the shower curtain and piss right onto the bathmat and floor, I'd make no more mess than peeing blind....

Y'know, there's a seat on the toilet. I'm practically blind (-13 diopters, which is wicked nearsighted), and I can still find the toilet seat to sit down in a nearly dark room. Hard to miss from a seated position.

You know, I am a lady (HA!) and I don't get out to pee.
