As for convergence, I agree with that article to the point of looking at what has been commercially released so far. But then I look at my XBOX, which after modification and an upgraded hard drive, can play its own games without discs, can play DVDs without a dongle, can play NES, SNES, N64, Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, Sony Playstation, Atari 2600, Atari 7800, Atari Lynx, Colecovision, Intellivision, MSX, MSX 2, Sega Master System, Sega Genesis, Sega 32x, Sega CD, Sega Game Gear, Turbografx 16, Neo Geo Pocket Color, and Wonderswan games (and probably more that I haven't come across). I enjoy that sort of convergence greatly. I only wish I owned this XBOX when I was 5 years old; when Wrath of the Black Manta was still a kick-ass ninja game.

That's piracy, not convergence

Well it wouldn't be piracy if all these videogame companies got their heads out of their asses and made it happen on a commercial level, now would it?

Forgot about that one. I agree completely. It wasn't funny the first time and it isn't funny now. People in WoW are still constantly saying it. The comeback is "YA RLY, NO WAI!!" Now people in WoW are starting to say "wai" instead of "way." UGH!!

My dad is a teacher. A few weeks ago I called him up and asked him if "too" had been replaced by just "to". I've seen it in print and so much on the internet, I had to see if he had heard anything. But no, it seem's to be just poor spelling and ignorance.

Also, something Reggie said at a public appearance at a McDonalds started a rumor that Genesis games could be available on the Revolution.

Games are not any longer merely 'hitting'. They are also 'dropping'. This puts me in mind of turds.

Addict

'wud'
'wot'
'nyway'

And my biggest pet peeve is the media use of 'virtually'. It's a catch all phrase that means 'almost, but not quite'. I guess it's better than saying "Sorry-assed substitute" or "Second place" if you want to sell stuff, but it's so annoying.

I just remind folks that masturbating is 'virtual sex' too.
