i hate the xbox 360, its utter crap. Its funny how the premier game for it, Perfect Dark, has some parts where the graphics look like regular xbox graphics. It definitely is not next generation. Every other next gen console had HUGE improvements over the current generation of consoles, this one does not. I will wait for the PS3 or Revolution. Much better.

Do you even have a 360, or just played it for 15 seconds at a store. Its a great system. Also you have to realize it is just the beginning of this system and the graphics will get better and better.

I'm no fanboi of any of the systems. So if you said this about nintendo, microsoft, or sony, it wouldn't matter, I'd say the same thing.

You have to understand that graphics are only going to get SO good, once you get nearer and nearer to true lifelike graphics, the jumps are going to be smaller and smaller.

yes thats true, but the gameplay has to increase more and more and has to introduce new things to keep it fresh since the graphics are reaching an asymptote. I do not see how the XBox 360 is doing that.

And no I do not own a 360, nor will I ever.

I was going to stay out of this, and I'm going to own all 3, so no fanboy here, but how can you say that PS3 is going to excel in gameplay? It has a system, and a controller. The 360 has a system, and a controller. And we haven't seen ANY gameplay graphics from the ps3 yet. Killzone was all cg, warhawk is all cg, so what are you basing this on? Hell, developers pulled out of the PS3 project because they can't seem to bring the cost of development down. Square moved the Microsoft, so what does the the ps3 have going for it over the 360 again?

I don't really resent the 360 or anything, but I always enjoy watching things that are in high demand be smashed. Reminds me of when the PS2 was in high demand, there was a gaming news site at http://dailyradar.com (now defunct) that had a video of them throwing one out of a 2nd story window. I can just pictures the jaws of fanboys dropping everywhere.

WHAT?!?! Square went to Microsoft?! Damnit, I may have to eat my words. I was going off of the current XBox and PS2 comparisions. I felt that the XBox had no true gameplay just graphics, and this is just my opinion, but I thought the PS2 was way more revolutionary than the XBox. It's probably about a year or more too early for me to jump to these conclusions, but that's what is fun about making unfounded comments!

Square didnt jump to MS... Square Enix is considering releasing FF13 on both the 360 and PS3... eh.. and while it has nothing to do with Square's decisions.. Sony owns like 20% or so of Square..
(besides, if development costs are so high, I doubt Sqeenix can manage two different developments of FF13 on two consoles and release at the same time... and since the console market in Japan is still strongly sony, and not so much MS... I think Square'll stick w/ PS3)

PS3's games however DO look better, the games lined up such as Tekken, Devil May Cry, MGS4, all are being developed by veteran and experienced developers.. so i have no doubt in their quality...

360 has Halo3, which no doubt will be amazing..(altho the fps thing might get a little old, if its just another Halo to Halo2 improvement of graphics)..

So i think imma save up and get a ps3 preordered ... Japanese developers seem to make games that I enjoy more.. and sports games will always be on all systems, and im not a big fan of console FPS'...

and from what i've read, the Revolution is expected to be around 200, and some articles listing the parts for the Revo show prices could even be as low as a 100!.. heh, I'll take one of them too.. the controller just seems so fun to try... imagice Madden's QB vision w/ that controller ...

btw- hehe its a good time to start getting those referrals done for freeps3's and stuff like that I'm working on mine~.. anyone wanna sign up, pm me.. im not gonna post any links or anything

Well, not likely. There will be some games that may take advantage of the new programming features available in the OS. But mostly, programmers will only use a portion of them anyway, regardless of how amazing they may be. For instance, DirectX8 and 9 had a few hundred new and wow features when they were released, but I know that at most only about half of them were ever used.

If I get a console I'll have to get one of each kind to eliminate any notion of conflict.

Such is the curse of console gaming.

As long as there is competition, there are exclusive titles worth playing on each console. As long as there is competition, the market (should) stay fresh.

Thus I am stricken with poverty and flamed by fanboys who take personal offence to my purchasing choices.

Call of Duty 2 is a terrific game !!!... I especially like playing online for free with up to 32 other players at a time on my PC ... I'm sure the XBox 360 version is just as fun...
Oh wait, the XBox 360 can only have 8 players online ... and it isn't free.

That's OK it's still a great single player game ... and all those mods that ramp up the texture detail and add new weapons adds to the replayability on my PC .... I'm sure the XBox 360 version is just as fun ...
Oh wait, the 360 doesn't have 3rd party mods - it'll always be the same game

Oh well, Call of Duty 2 is still a fun game and it's worth the price.
Oh wait, the retail cost for the XBox version is $10 more than the PC version.

altho the revo's controller is intriguing.. altho i have my doubts on its reliability..
